A group photo in front of the Catholic mission at Providence, Northwest Territories. The group includes the First Nations children resident at the mission, segregated by gender, and the priests and nuns running it.

An Inuit couple, Billy Kemitsema and Mona Kemitsema, pose with two Anglican priests, Reverend E. Hester and Bishop Lucas. According to Miriam Green Ellis, Billy was Mr. Hester's assistant, and Mona was the niece of Mrs. Stefansson.

The plates in Sagra’s Peces [1853] are magnificently coloured, and the fish seem ready to swim off the page. Three species of Cuban fish are illustrated here, including a large shark and a diminutive seahorse.
