After Fort McPherson, Miriam Green Ellis reached her destination - Aklavik, Northwest Territories. She spent much of her time at Aklavik with Mrs. Stefansson, wife of the famous Arctic explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson, and her son, Alex Stefansson.
