    Description

    A horse and rider, stuck in the soft mud of the riverbank in an attempt to ford the Salt River in the Northwest Territories. The photo captures the motion blur where the distressed horse is thrashing its head. This image is also represented among Miriam Green Ellis' hand-coloured magic lantern slides.
