Magic Lantern Show, Part 3

Following her trip to Aklavik, Miriam Green Ellis transferred many of the photographs to glass magic lantern slides. These became a major component of her talks about the journey. The colouration of the glass slides was added by hand, delicately painted on with transparant pigments. Where multiple copies of the slide are extant, the hand-painting process has resulted in multiple interpretations of the image.

This arrangement of the magic lantern slides follows Miriam Green Ellis' trip itinerary where possible, starting at the Clearwater River and ending at Salt River. Those images where the location is uncertain follow from Salt River.
